Frequently Asked Questions

  • “Good Faith Estimate” from the “No Surprises Billing Act”

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit http://www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-877-696-6775.

  • Things are changing, but at the moment I can only work with individuals who are physically in the state of Washington or Colorado for our session. My Reclaim You Intensives are a popular choice for individuals who live out of state, but are willing to travel to work with me.

Once the Social Work compact is enacted in late 2024 I will be pursuing privileges in multiple other states, so please check back at a later date if travel is not something you can do right now.

Periodically, I travel to London, UK and provide intensives whilst there. If you are interested in this opportunity then please complete the contact me form so that I can keep you informed about future availability.

  • In short, no.

I choose to operate as a private pay practice to ensure I can offer you the highest quality, personalized care. Insurance companies often limit the type and duration of therapy sessions, but by not accepting insurance, I can create customized therapy plans tailored to your unique needs. This approach also ensures your privacy, as your records remain confidential and are not shared with insurance companies.

  • For all session types, I offer in-person or virtual options. You may also choose a hybrid platform where we can switch back and forth as needed and if availability allows.

Whether in person or online, I invite you to dress comfortably and avoid caffeine for at least a couple of hours prior to the session starting.

If we are meeting online, please ensure that you are in a safe, private space, and use a laptop or similar for the session (avoid phones). Be free from distractions, and ensure that you have a strong internet connection.

*In the event of illness or known exposure to contagious illness sessions are moved  to virtual for the health and safety of myself, my family, and all the clients I serve.

  • For USD, I accept debit and credit card payments.

If you are not paying with US$ then please clarify your preferred currency to discuss payment options.

Intensives are invoiced with half total expected fees due at time of booking first session, and the balance due 72 hours before the intensive begins.

  • For  regular ‘incremental growth’ sessions. The cancellation policy is 50% of your session fee if cancelled with less than 48 hours notice. No shows are charged the full session fee.

For Reclaim You Therapy Intensives the cancellation fee is subject to a tiered system dependent on amount of services rendered prior to cancellation, and the timing of the cancellation. These fees will be clearly described in your contract.
